THROW, 39 x 59 IN (100 x 150 CM)

One person, curled up

Over your shoulders it reaches down to your knees. Across your lap it covers your legs and your feet. This is the one that lives on the armchair, goes in the car, or sits folded at the foot of the bed. If you are over six foot and you want your toes covered while lying down, skip this one and take Single.

SINGLE, 59 x 79 IN (150 x 200 CM)

One person, stretched out, toes covered

Lie down on the couch and this one covers you from your shoulders past your feet, with a bit left over to tuck in behind your back. It also fits a twin bed. This is the size to pick when the blanket is for you and only you, and it is the one most people should be looking at.

DOUBLE, 71 x 79 IN (180 x 200 CM)

Two people, no tug of war

Wide enough that two of you sit side by side under the same blanket and both stay covered, feet included. On a bed it fits a full or a queen without much hanging over the sides. Also the right pick for one person who likes to roll up completely.

KING, 79 x 91 IN (200 x 230 CM)

The whole bed, the whole couch

On a king bed the edges hang well over both sides instead of stopping at the mattress. On the couch it covers two people, the dog and a kid who climbed in. This is our biggest size, and it is the one nobody ever sends back for being too small.

CUSHION COVERS

Measure the cushion you already have

Left to right: 16 x 16 in (40 x 40 cm), 18 x 18 in (45 x 45 cm), 20 x 20 in (50 x 50 cm) and the 12 x 20 in (30 x 50 cm) lumbar. Our cushion listings are covers, so pick the size of the insert you already own. Want it to look plump instead of flat? Put an insert one size up inside, so a 20 x 20 in insert in an 18 x 18 in cover.

PICK IN TEN SECONDS

Who is under it?

One person: Single. Two people: Double or King. Nobody has ever complained that a blanket was too big.

Where is it going?

Armchair or across your lap: Throw. Couch: Single or Double. Bed: match the bed, twin is Single, full or queen is Double, king is King.

Are you tall?

Over six foot, skip Throw. Single covers you from your shoulders to your feet, Throw will leave your toes out.

Size up. The bigger size costs a little more and it never gets sent back for being too small.

Blankets are textiles, so the finished size can be about an inch bigger or smaller than the number on the label. That is normal and it does not change which size is right for you. Still stuck?
